WHO WE ARE
We started as a group of seven passionate individuals who founded Bolva e.V. in 2024 in Germany. Each of us shares a deep love and respect for animals, and we couldn't stand by and watch as so many in need suffer. Driven by the belief that every animal deserves care and compassion, we came together to make a difference. We are united by a common goal: to help animals in places where they are overlooked and neglected, such as in Bolvadin, Türkiye. We refuse to turn a blind eye to the suffering of animals, and our team works tirelessly to offer them the support they desperately need. Our dedication comes from the heart, and we are committed to improving the lives of animals who have no one else to turn to.
OUR GOALS
Bolva e.V. is committed to helping animals in need. We provide medical care for injured animals, arrange transport to veterinarians and shelters, and distribute food rations to prevent hunger. Additionally, we offer feeding, grooming, and overall care for the animals. With enough donations, we aim to build a permanent shelter to provide rescued animals with a safe and secure home. Our ultimate goal is to ensure every animal receives the care, protection, and love they deserve, regardless of their circumstances. By focusing on this region, we aim to make a real difference where it’s most needed.
WHY Bolvadin, Türkiye
Bolvadin is a small town located in western Türkiye, facing numerous challenges in terms of animal welfare. The town is geographically isolated, with limited access to nearby shelters or veterinary services. As a result, many street dogs and abandoned animals struggle to survive without adequate care or medical attention. The harsh climate, with hot summers and cold winters, adds to their suffering, leaving them vulnerable to hunger, disease, and exposure. The local community often lacks the resources to address these issues, making Bolvadin an area in urgent need of help for its animals.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
It began with a visit to Bolvadin, Türkiye. As soon as I arrived, I noticed the large number of stray animals. I spontaneously bought food and distributed it – unaware of how much this moment would change my life.
On my next visit, I found a badly injured puppy shortly before leaving. Nobody wanted to help, no vet, no town hall and no organization was nearby.
For the local people, a suffering dog on the street was an everyday occurrence. The puppy was full of fear and growled every time I approached him. For 1.5 days we fought for her trust until we were finally able to put her in a box and take her to the vet. She stayed there, got better and was given the name: Bolva
After a long search, I found an organization 3.5 hours away that took Bolva in. Two months later, I flew back to accompany her to her new home.This experience completely changed my life. I realized: the animals there are on their own – I have to do something
Before my next trip, I launched an appeal for donations to help even more dogs. And then something special happened: six wonderful people joined me. Today there are seven of us – with a common mission: to make a lasting difference to the lives of these animals
